  • Walk-in shop hours: Mon-Thu 1-6 pm. Fri-Sun closed for travel purposes or in order to perform workshop duties. However, we are open any day/time by special appointment, even in the evening or on weekends. Please  contact Jan well ahead of time to make such an appointment.

Despite the shop hours listed above, please always check the Schedule page to see whether the shop is open and whether we are available. We sometimes have to travel to serve customers elsewhere or to handle emergencies. We'll post that information on the "Schedule" page.

 

DIRECTIONS TO GAINESVILLE VIOLINS

Please swing by our shop and workshop in the

"Magic Forest"!

Gainesville Violins is located adjacent to our house (at the far end) off NW 39th Avenue, at 4240 NW 129th Street.

If you travel westward on NW 39th Avenue, you'll go over I-75. Keep going.

On your right-hand side (still on NW 39th Ave, after crossing I-75) you'll see the Best Western Hotel, some small farms, then the road that leads to St Francis High School, thereafter TNT Nurseries, a women's shelter and a closed down convenience store. Just after this store is NW 129th Street. Turn right into NW 129th Street (a small unpaved rural road). Gainesville Violins is in the first house on the right side (at the large red doors by the Russian bell-tower on the far side), in the middle of the 7-acre "Magic Forest".

From north or south on I-75, take exit 390 onto NW 39th Avenue. Go west and follow the instructions in the previous paragraph.

From Jacksonville, get onto SR-310 (Baldwin, Starke) and go thru Waldo where you bear right towards Gainesville; in Gainesville turn westward on 39th Avenue. Eventually you'll go over I-75. Keep going. Follow the instructions in the 3rd paragraph above.

From US-441, turn westward on 39th Avenue. Eventually you'll go over I-75. Keep going. Follow the instructions in the 3rd paragraph above.
